Dandelions
Owl Park, May 21 11:34 AM
The flowering part of the dandelions in this picture all appear to have developed from a flower head into a seed head. The seeds of this dandelion are attached to a light and fluffy structure, which allow them to float through the wind and relocate in another location where the seeds can grow.
The dandelion can be used in various recipes as well has medical remedies, as they contain vitamin A, B, C and D. Nearly all the parts of the dandelion are used, and have their own ways in which they can be used. The flowering part, while it is still yellow, can be used to make teas and honey usually by steeping then straining the flowers in boiling water along with other ingredients for taste or consistency. The leaves of the dandelion may be used as well, in a similar fashion to lettuce in a salad or any other leafy vegetable. In medicine, the dandelion can help with liver and kidney problems, as well as aiding with digestion problems.
